Quito, October 11 (PL)- Environmentalists, sociologists, lawyers, researchers and activists are on the negotiating table as of yesterday -and for two days- in this capital to discuss issues that provide continuity to the recent Summit Rio +20.

Rethinking the world and reaffirm human and nature rights are the objectives of the forum, stated in a press conference María Fernanda Espinosa, Ecuador's Minister Coordinator of Heritage.

The Minister said that after the recent Brazilian forum, that was attended by 45,000 people and 75 heads of state, is necessary to evaluate what is the result and how to solve the fundamental problems of humanity this century.

In his view, these issues go basically through a high-level political decision that bears relation to the commitment of governments and states with the society, starting from the general interest and in any case articular.

In this event, the presentations will focus on what are the ways of action for a livable planet, whose response will try to be devised by a dozen of world-renowned personalities engaged in solving puzzles and change harmful practices with the environment.

The panels are divided into topics related to the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Nature, driven from Ecuador, the initiative of an international Court to try crimes against the future of humanity and new indicators for sustainable development.
